Perumon Mundackal was part of Chemmakad Parish. A small thatched chapel was blessed by Bishop Jerome in 1937. The present Church was blessed in 1974. It was given the status of a parish in 1975. Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo have a convent here and they conduct an English Medium School.
